Questions before you book
SMP is cosmetic tattooing (hair tattooing) that offers a solution to hair loss by replicating hair follicles that are about to grow, giving the impression of a shaved look. SMP can treat anywhere on the scalp that is losing hair or even complete baldness of the scalp.
The treatment is perfectly safe, we dispose of all needles after each treatment and the equipment is cleaned after every client.
Results are permanent, but touch-ups are needed every 1-3 years. Depending on lifestyle and immune system, it can be longer before a touch-up is required.
If your treatment is affected by COVID-19 guidelines, we will reschedule your appointment to a future date.
The treatment is done over three visits, and the length of each visit depends on the treatment you are having. Visit one will take between 2 and 8 hours, then there is a 14-day gap before visit two, which will again take around 2 to 8 hours. We then recommend a 4-week gap before the final visit, which will take approximately 2 to 8 hours.
In the first session we won’t go too dark, and we will see how the colour has settled. At the second and third sessions we can add more colour if required to get the perfect colour match.
The choice here is yours: you can have natural, sharply defined, or a bit of both. The design is entirely your decision. We draw it on first so you can try a few different styles, and there’s no rush!
Each person is different and redness can last anything from 1-4 days.
You must not go to the gym or train at all for the first 4 days after treatment. This is essential to ensure your treatment works to its full potential. After 4 days you can go to the gym or train but only light training, you must not sweat excessively for at least 10 days.
You should avoid washing or shaving the head for the first 4 days after treatment, and you should not fully submerge the head in water or stand under a running shower for at least 10 days. It is recommended to lightly wipe over the head using a damp flannel at this time.

A deposit of £100 to £300, depending on the treatment being booked, is required to secure your booking; this is non-refundable. The remainder is split equally into three payments, one paid at each session.
